Academics
Comprehension - the understanding what is read and the ability to answer questions correctly.
Reading - this week we are learning short /e/ sound as in egg, elephant, bed, and ea vowel team can make the short/e/sound as in head and bread.Math - Continue to learn strategies for Addition.
Writing
Tuesday mornings we write spelling words in sentence (graded).
This week we wrote an article called Weekend News and science writing about Pumpkin Facts. Next week we will be writing some more. Stay tune!
To date:Students should be able to write a sentence correctly using the sentence rules: 1. capital letter; 2. punctuation; 3. makes sense or complete thought.
Also working on writing a 3-sentence paragraph using an opening sentence, a detail sentence, and the closing sentence.
