Dear Third Grade Families,Welcome to a wonderful new school year! My name is Theresa Ronchetti and I am thrilled to be your child’s third grade teacher. I am looking forward to a year filled with discovery, growth, and learning.Third grade is an exciting transition year. This year, your child will shift from "learning to read" to "reading to learn" as we explore chapter books and dive deeper into longer stories. In math, we will focus on addition, subtraction and multiplication. In social studies, will learn the states and capitals. We will also focus heavily on building independence, problem-solving skills, and personal responsibility. I am dedicated to creating a safe, encouraging, and engaging classroom environment where every student can thrive.Communication is key to a successful school year, and I view you as an essential partner in your child's education. I will send out emails to keep you informed about what we are learning, any upcoming events and important information.Here are a few quick reminders as we start the year:- School Supplies: Please ensure your child has their supplies by the first day of school. You can find our specific third-grade supply list on the school website.
- Snacks & Water: Please send your child with a water bottle and a snack each day.
- Important Date: Mark your calendar for Back-to-School Night on Thursday, September 17th from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.
